High-yielding winter wheat variety wins full milling approval
High-yielding winter wheat variety Zyatt has been given the seal of approval from the milling sector, following two years of rigorous testing.
The approval by the National Association of British and Irish Millers (Nabim) means Zyatt meets all of the standards of quality expected by the milling and baking industry.
The variety from breeder KWS made its debut on the AHDB Recommended List in December and boasts the top yield of all the breadmaking choices in the line up.

It sits alongside fellow Group 1 varieties Skyfall, Illustrious, Crusoe, Gallant and KWS stablemate Trinity as a fully approved milling winter wheat.
Nabim trade policy manager Martin Savage said he thinks Zyatt will find “broad market acceptance” now its recommendation has been upgraded from provisional to full.
“We’re pleased to see another high-yielding Group 1 with excellent breadmaking potential join the RL,” he said.
