Uprated specs for the liquid control system on this Lite-Trac self-propelled sprayer help it cope with the abrasive characteristics of suspension fertilisers more effectively.
Commissioned for contract application of Omex fertiliser products, the machine uses high grade stainless steel for the tank and simple butterfly rather than ball valves that are less prone to wear. A Siemens electrode flow meter is used rather than the more common impeller type for the same reason.
A Pommier aluminium design is Lite-Trac’s preferred boom to preserve the vehicle’s 50:50 weight distribution, which is achieved by locating the 240hp, 6.7-litre Cummins engine and powershift transmission midway between the two drive axles.
A full-width deflector-type pneumatic slug pellet distributor is a new option for the machine.
