Are Agrifac’s machines HVO compatible?

Provided by

Agrifac aims to meet global food demands sustainably and efficiently, using innovative sprayers that boost yields and minimize environmental harm, ensuring safety and higher productivity for growers.

Agrifac’s latest innovation joins the global movement towards sustainable agriculture and carbon footprint reduction.

It’s a known fact that motor vehicles are a proven producer of emissions, but there are manufacturers who concentrate on ensuring that the products they offer are focussed to meet global pollution objectives; a critical benchmark Agrifac have been continuously working towards on every adaption to their range of self-propelled crop sprayers.

Now, Agrifac’s Research and Development Team is testing Hydrotreated Vegetable Oils (HVO) — a renewable alternative to diesel — to measure its compatibility with the Condor range of sprayers.

The initial results point to a new milestone on Agrifac’s path towards sustainability: all machines with Cummins engine can be HVO compatible.

HVO are transforming sustainability and circular economy practices. On the one hand, it is a highly efficient fuel alternative that can viably replace diesel.

On the other hand, it is a synthesized product from waste allowing effective and profitable waste management.

Consequently, it facilitates up to 90% carbon footprint reduction from product use which contributes significantly to global emission reduction efforts.

Its malleability allows for both single use and seamless blend-in with diesel.

With tighter regulations and diverse financial incentives for sustainable options, Agrifac’s commitment to alternative fuels positions our partners at the forefront of responsible farming practices.

Agrifac’s close relations with its industrial partners are playing a significant role in this development.

It has been conducting extensive tests in partnership with Cummins, the company developing the engine that powers Agrifac’s self-propelled sprayers across the globe.

The long partnership between these companies has given life to one of the most fuel-efficient agricultural equipment in the world. Now they are taking another step into the future together with HVO.

New developments also call for new partnerships, as is with the new partnership between Agrifac and Dalhuisen.

As a major supplier of HVO in the Netherlands, Dalhuisen has provided the fuel that Agrifac has been using for its tests. Inspired by the remarkably positive initial results, Dalhuisen has awarded Agrifac with a “Good Fuels CO2 reduction” certificate.

The global market trends increasingly favor green transition, and Agrifac is leading the way.

Their dedication to providing sustainable solutions extends beyond plant protection to empower partners with future-proof options.

Consequently, the adoption of HVO marks a new stage for Agrifac’s path for sustainability.

Growers have repeatedly shown interest in the company’s efforts to provide sustainable equipment and solutions.

Now these efforts also extend to the development and adoption of alternative propulsion systems and fuel sources which reflect a new direction in Agrifac’s strategic outlook and vision for the future of sustainable agriculture.
